21 Stunning Lake Tahoe Pictures [Bucket List Destination Photo Tour]

Lake Tahoe is definitely on our California Bucket list.  That is to say, we have already checked it off the list by visiting once in 2015. And we loved it so much, that we plan on returning, possible in 2021.

At the top of the Sierra Nevada ridge, Lake Tahoe offers a stunning combination of emerald blue lake water, surrounded by mountain peaks. One of the best thing about the place is how much it changes throughout the year. Morphing between a winter wonderland during ski season, and an awesome swimming and water sports spot in summer and then back again, this place is truly spectacular.

Our own visit took place during late August, so we made the most of it by hiking around Lake Tahoe, and taking a swim too. Unfortunately, when we were visiting Tahoe, the sky was gray from the ashes of nearby wildfires, so our pictures aren't as pretty. Still, I hope you enjoyed these!
