NEWS - Unless you avoid the internet like the plague, you've likely been bombarded by White Lotus memes, reviews, critics, and even Halloween costumes!

This HBO series changed many viewers' perspectives on travel, inspiring us to head to Hawaii but try not to end up in a body bag before the vacation ended.

Season One White Lotus Actual Location

Well, the stunning ocean-front Hawaiian resort the various families and couples stay at during the TV series is actually the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea.

So, technically, anyone can pretend to be in the mysterious show. Hmm...

*Books the next flight out.*

Exploring The Four Seasons Resort Maui At Wailea (AKA The White Lotus)

Now that we've established the White Lotus hotel is the Four Seasons Resort Maui, why don't we take you on a virtual tour?

First, this hotel is one of the Four Season's premier destinations, offering spas, restaurants, ocean views, and the now-famous White Lotus publicity.

Take a look at this video posted by one lucky traveler:

You can see how stunning this resort is. HBO's series, The White Lotus, did the hotel justice, keeping most of the hotel "as is" while filming.

To give you a bit of behind-the-scenes insight, the production team began filming in the fall of 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic raged on.

To do this safely, the cast and crew had to create a "bubble" within the Four Seasons. That meant nobody was coming or going, essentially turning the filming into an extended vacation for everyone.

We don't know about you, but quarantining at the White Lotus sounds much better than eating chips on the sofa back home.

The Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea became home to stars including Jennifer Coolidge, Connie Britton, Sydney Sweeney, Murray Bartlett, and Alexandria Daddario, to name a few.

This once-private hotel in Hawaii has quickly become one of the most famous properties the Four Season owns and is a must-see for White Lotus fanatics.

Elegant, Extravagant Guest Rooms & Suites Are... Expensive!

One shocking detail many curious travelers may notice when searching for a room at the Four Seasons Maui is the pricing.

Like in HBO's hit series The White Lotus, you can expect room rates to be astronomical.

To give you a little perspective into this hotel's pricing, here's what current room rates for one room with two guests currently look like as of January 2023 (rates are subject to change):

  • Mountain-Side Room - $1,940 per night
  • Garden-View Room - $2,130 per night
  • Deluxe Garden-View Room - $2,280 per night
  • Ocean-View Room - $2,665 per night
  • Deluxe Ocean-View Room - $2,815 per night

Moving to some of the junior suites (yes, this gets scarier):

  • Garden-View Executive Suite - $3,720 per night
  • Deluxe Garden-View Executive Suite - $3,870 per night
  • Ocean-View Prime Executive Suite - $4,705 per night

This doesn't even cover all the extra suites, upgrades, and unique add-ons the Four Seasons offers, so some of us need to win the lottery ASAP.

Let's say you want to stay in one of the biggest rooms on the property. This will cost you between 10,000 and 30,000 dollars PER NIGHT.

The "Lokelani" Presidential Three-Bedroom Suite is the most expensive property suite, costing a whopping nightly rate of $29,000.

These prices might explain why everyone staying at the White Lotus was so stressed out.

Are you planning a trip to the White Lotus? If you see Tanya, please tell her we love her!

Enjoy Hawaii and try to make it home in one piece.
