Great photos are inspiring. They make me want to get out the door and explore the world. I use them as a way to get over my travel anxiety by reminding myself that the world out there is worth the risks and inconveniences of traveling. I'm sharing photos of Patagonia today, to inspire me - and hopefully you as well - to travel to see these very places for myself. Join me on an illustrated virtual tour of this gorgeous part of South America.
Why am I sharing these photos of Patagonia
South America is our next big destination.
I blogged about where to go in South America, exploring each of the continent's countries to see which would be a good place to visit. Clearly, the southern regions of Argentina and Chile have everything that we love: Open spaces, mountains, glaciers and endless dramatic vistas.
As a blogger, I have access to paid stock photography sites where I buy images to use on my blogs. Naturally, that's where I go to when I want to get a visual overview of a place. The results can be stunning, and indeed they were when I casually searched for photos of Patagonia.
In fact, I figured they were so beautiful and pin-worthy, why not share them here? I hope you enjoy them as much as I have!

Awesome, awesome places, aren't they?
I think these photos of Patagonia are nothing short of fantastic and I hope you enjoyed them as much as I did. So many places to visit... and so many blog posts to write, both before and after the visits! Sometimes I wonder if life isn't too short to see it all.
What do you think? Have you ever been to Patagonia or South America? Are these places as amazing in real life as they are in the pictures? If you haven't visited the area yet, are they on your Bucket List as they are on mine? Let me know in the comments!
Greetings, Yes, I have visited many of the places in these photographs. When I first went to Chile to explore the Lake District and the Chile & Argentinian Patagonia area, I knew one trip would not be enough and I had to go back. But there were not very many nice places to stay. My idea of camping is a hotel that doesn’t have room service, so I built myself a nice home to stay in as a jumping off place. It is called The House Of Divine Views in Ensenada Chile, check it out as you may want to stay here also. We just had a family of 5 visit here on their 365 day around the world trip. You might like to read their blog on Instagram “Franklin Street Globe Trotters.” Loved the photos, thanks.
