Hailed as Florida’s oldest food destination, the Columbia Restaurant has been serving state residents and guests since 1905.

The restaurant’s story began when Casimiro Hernandes, Sr., a Spanish-Cuban immigrant, entered the state in search of opportunities. Casimiro and his four sons soon opened the Columbia Saloon in 1903, which became the restaurant many Floridians know and love 2 years later.

From afar, you can immediately feel a sense of culture as the restaurant gleams with festive décor that pays homage to its roots. Walking into the establishment will greet you with an interior design that blows you away with Spanish and Cuban history.

But aside from basking in the culture brought by the restaurant, don’t forget that it’s also quite famous for serving delicious dishes. For instance, you can satisfy your healthy cravings by savoring your palate with the restaurant’s 100% vegan Cuban Black Bean Soup.
