You don’t have to be a huge fan of desert views to appreciate Death Valley. Located in Southern California, this national park is one of the most spectacular places we’ve ever visited. And that’s saying something, since we have visited 46 US states by now, and several countries. Plus, we come from Israel, where a significant part of the country is a desert.
If you’ve never traveled in a desert, you might think that the scenery would be dull or boring. After all, with hardly any precipitation, there wouldn’t be a lot of plants or wildlife. What’s there to look at? In fact, deserts can be hauntingly beautiful and quite varied in their offerings of landscapes. And Death Valley National Park is a case in point.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words, so instead of trying to describe the varied landscape or Death Valley, we decided to create a gallery type post, where you can feast your eyes on the stunning views of this park.
Before we move on to the gallery, please keep in mind that Death Valley is as harsh as it is beautiful. If you want to visit, make sure to read our Death Valley guides first –
